ABOUT MAC

Founded in 2024, the Mid-Atlantic Collective for Eating Disorders is a community-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening connections, sharing knowledge, and promoting inclusive care. Our mission is to create a sustainable, collaborative network where resources stay within the community, supporting members in their professional growth and in their capacity to serve those affected by eating disorders. The Collective prioritizes education and advocacy that address both emerging research and the gaps in our current understanding. We believe meaningful professional development goes beyond standard continuing education, it includes listening to diverse perspectives, identifying barriers to care, and working together to create a more responsive field.

The Mid-Atlantic Colelctive currently includes the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, along with Washington DC.

OUR GOALS

  • Foster a connected, supportive professional community in the Mid-Atlantic region

  • Provide accessible, relevant education that reflects current research and emerging needs

  • Advocate for inclusive, equitable practices that improve care for all individuals affected by eating disorders
